It is my honor to present the profile of the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs, and Reconciliation of the North-Eastern State of Somalia. The Ministry is mandated, in accordance with the Provisional Constitution of the Federal Republic of Somalia and the State Constitution, to lead internal governance, decentralization, reconciliation, and stabilization processes that strengthen peace, unity, and effective administration.
Our priority is to promote inclusive local governance, strengthen cooperation between Federal and State institutions, advance community-based reconciliation, and enhance institutional capacity to serve our citizens effectively. Through collaboration with communities, traditional leaders, civil society, and development partners, the Ministry remains committed to building resilient institutions and sustainable peace across the State.

About the Ministry
The Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs, and Reconciliation is the lead State institution responsible for internal administration, decentralization of governance, federal-state relations, reconciliation, stabilization, and coordination of local government systems. The Ministry exercises its mandate in alignment with the Provisional Constitution of the Federal Republic of Somalia, the State Constitution, and national frameworks on governance, peacebuilding, and public administration.
