The Ministry is responsible for supervising government institutions to ensure transparent and effective service delivery to the public, including regional administrations, local governments, and other ministries within the Northeastern State.

Civil Registration and Identity Management

The Ministry is responsible for the registration of citizens of the Northeastern State to ensure they obtain official identification. This identification enables citizens to access essential services and facilitates their participation in administrative, social, and economic activities. Through the Civil Registration and Identity Management system, the Ministry works to establish a reliable database of citizens. This process helps improve government planning, service delivery, and security while ensuring that every citizen is formally recognized by the state and can easily access services such as education, healthcare, banking, and other public services.

The Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation of the Northeastern State of Somalia reaffirms its commitment to strengthening governance, promoting peace, and enhancing cooperation among communities across the state.
